Dr. Ekaterina Rashidin is an international expert in branding and project development. With over 15 years of experience promoting education, sustainability, and cultural initiatives across Western and Asian markets, she combines her PhD in Economics with a passion for enhancing the image of governments, brands, and institutions through digital media.

Determined to put Malaysia on the global media map, she founded @GoMalaysia—a platform that has garnered over 85K followers and 30 million views within 18 months, highlighting Malaysia's rich culture, economy, and tourism sector. Ekaterina's long term goal is to help Malaysian travel industry shift from selling destinations to nation branding. By the end of 2024 she has already conducted over 50 interviews resulting in unique insights on the brand identity of Malaysia.

Dr. Rashidin is also volunteering at Cherating Development Cooperation, an initiative aimed at improving social well-being in Cherating, Pahang. She leads group events for corporates and students, offering eco-friendly watersports, team-building activities, and cultural programs in one of Malaysia’s most scenic destinations.
Her professional achievements include collaborating with over 50 global companies such as McKinsey, BASF, and Microsoft, as well as producing content on sustainability, including the Stop COVID for Qazaq TV.

Dr. Rashidin’s dedication to responsible citizenship and sustainability is exemplified through her extensive academic contributions, including six publications on corporate social responsibility (CSR), four of which have been featured in academic journals. Her work covers topics such as the economic impacts of socially responsible programs, and the future of sustainable gastronomy. She also has teaching experience in marketing, sharing her expertise with students and professionals to inspire impactful practices.

Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys sports, traveling and actively promoting diversity and women empowerment in all aspects of her life.
Prior to moving to Malaysia in 2023, Dr. Ekaterina Rashidin built a dynamic international career across five countries: Russia, France, the USA, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. She held diverse leadership roles, including co-owner of a flight school in Kazakhstan, where she oversaw strategy and marketing. As Digital Director for a hospitality group in Almaty, she managed social media for multiple brands and collaborated with Forbes and L'Officiel Kazakhstan. In the USA, she served on the Board of Directors for a nonprofit preschool, leading fundraising efforts that surpassed targets. Additionally, Dr. Rashidin represented two renowned European business schools—IESEG School of Management (France) and IE Business School (Spain)—assisting students in enrollment, scholarship applications, and global outreach.
